6 Spring Beauty Must Haves

DSCN2007Its always such a treat to take a trip to Ulta or Sephora… It’s a great thought it theory – I have great intentions on the way there, but when I get back, I think to myself, “How did I just spend all this money?”.

There are so many beauty products (with more and more coming out all the time) that I’m always dying to try! What helps me keep the money down is to look in the checkout area of the store, where they have all the bins of different products in smaller sizes. I think this is genius!!!

This is great because you can spend a fraction of the price to get the product to try instead of spending $30 on a bronzer you end up hating.

With spring here and summer approaching, the trends are changing (as always) and these are a few products that look great for the season, wear really well and are affordable:

1. Smashbox – Photo Finish Foundation Primer Oil-Free

DSCN2022This primer is my all-time favorite! It’s so great because it’s lightweight and I have really sensitive (and sometimes oily) skin and this works magic. I put this on after I shower and moisturize and I instantly feel like my skin is smooth and shine-free.

This is perfect with it starting to get warmer out, and really helps your makeup stay in place all day without looking “cakey” and greasy. I also love that it comes in a travel size for only $16.

2. Tarte – Lipstick in Coral Blossom

DSCN2018This lipstick is a new one for me… I’m actually not a huge lipstick person; I never really know what color to wear so my go-to is always lip-gloss. That being said, this lipstick is fantastic! The color is perfect for spring/summer – very bright and fresh. It’s also really light and moisturizing, which I love.

3. Benefit- Watt’s Up!

DSCN2021I pretty much love everything I’ve tried from Benefit and this was no exception! I use this on my brow bone to highlight cheekbones and sometimes even a little on my eyes. It’s so universal and gives you a little beachy glow (and a little goes a long way).

4. Revlon- Colorburst Matte Balm in Unapologetic 210

DSCN2011There are so many great drugstore beauty products that work really well. I bought this one a whim and I really like it… It’s a great long-wearing lip balm with an amazing color.

I love this color for spring/summer. Like I said before, I’m not huge on lipstick, but I love this for a night out to spice up your look a little bit with a bold lip. It especially looks great with a tan 🙂

5. Benefit- They’re Real Mascara

DSCN2024Some fabulous lashes always complete a look… In the spring and summer you always want that fresh beachy look and for me I love a great mascara to top it off. And when it comes to a great mascara, this is one of my favorites. The brush itself is just amazing; I have very light lashes and this just makes them pop!

6. Benefit – Cha Cha Tint

DSCN2020The last pick that I have is Benefit’s Cha Cha Tint. It’s a mango-tinted lip and cheek stain. It’s such a beautiful color and I love to use it on my cheeks to give them a little bit of color and warmth. Best of all, it’s long lasting and looks fabulous!

These are just a handful of my spring beauty must haves… What are yours?
