Greek Yogurt Veggie Dip

Veggie Dill DipThis is a lightened-up version of my stepmom’s veggie dill dip – which is out of this world!

Everytime my husband and I go over to my Dad and stepmom’s house for dinner, they always have an amazing spread of snacks, meat, cheese, and crackers, and of course… The infamous dill dip.

This is always such a treat and we always have an amazing time with them!

My husband and I love the dip so much that I thought to myself, “I wonder how this would taste if we replaced the mayo and sour cream with greek yogurt…”

Safe to say, our Greek Yogurt veggie dip turned out yummy!

I’m not going to lie – this isn’t the “real deal”, but it’s a great alternative that you could eat daily for a snack and it would keep you on track. It’s packed full of protein and you are eating veggies with it; pretzel thins are a great option too that will definitely curb that salty craving (as long as you stay within the serving size).

Ingredients:

1 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
1 tbsp of dill
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. seasoning salt
3-5 green onions, chopped

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium size bowl and eat right away or refrigerate for later.
  2. Cut up veggies of your choice to dip, pretzels, or crackers.

Tip: This dip also works really well on top of salmon for dinner.
